Came during a snowstorm, Ray was behind the bar and more than hospitable. Mead is delicious. Brought in a slice from around the corner and had a flight or two, great way to ride out a blizzard.

Enjoy how quite this place typically is when we go. The mead is the best around, it is made with lots of love and attention.

I saw the Bull and Bee tasting table I tried some “sweet Meade” delicious!(They were set up at the Albany, capitol, concourse, farmers market)I was invited to come the tasting room just a few blocks away later that evening.A friend of mine was coming to visit the Albany area that night and we were looking for a “good time, experience” to enjoy together. This was perfect! We started our night at the Bull and Bee tasting room. We ordered flights of Meade, we tried a bunch of flavors. We tried Coffee, spicy, sweet, classic… and more. Amazing! And delicious!Upon entering the tasting room, we were greeted by the bartender/owner Ray. An amazing and welcoming soul. We got to talking about the different flavors that they offer and their bottling process. Right from the beginning we were treated as though we were already friends/family and felt like we had known each other for years.Stopping at the bull and bee and starting our night here was a catalyst beginning to one of the best nights I have had in years, there was a concert venue just down the street that was having a metal show which complemented the mead that we had purchased from the tasting room perfectly.I came back the very next day and bought a couple bottles.Delicious product, highly recommended. Perfect location, warm inviting atmosphere.10/10 thanks!

I have not been to this location but I have bought and tried their mead at several popups! It was AMAZING and very versatile. I’ve made cocktails with it and also just enjoyed it as is. Definitely a fan over here!

Wonderful first experience. Tucked away off of Madison Ave, it'd be hard to miss if it weren't for the huge beautiful mural on the one side of the building. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender and easy to talk to about the variety of meads available. I got a flight and loved the variety of flavors. They ranging from honey sweet, dry and spicy! Quiet metal music playing in the background added to the Viking/Grecian vibe. Cool to hear the history of the building. A great addition to the neighborhood. Looking forward to going back.

I've been looking forward to this establishment opening and I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and pleasant, chatty without overstaying their welcome. The meads were delicious and varied, and the beers were local or regional.Seating inside was cozy but well-spaced, and outdoor seating was generous. The music ran a great playlist of new and classic rock; "Sympathy for the Devil" rolled as we soaked up the warm spring breeze on some robust metal chairs. Their were even some very diesel benches and stools along the building, trying to maximize the space. Street parking was ample, just pull around the corner and sidle along the curb, but watch the cobblestones if you're sporting heels.Their house mead, "The Muse," was light and sweet, a glass of afternoon sunshine offering a floral bouquet with hints of licorice, reminiscent of Sambuca. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.Overall, the ambiance here is casual and secluded-- great for a date where you've lost three hours chatting before you even realize it. It's a treasure in the downtown space that I hope we get to enjoy for years to come. Why not go buy drink and help make sure that happens.

NECTAR OF
THE GODS

The ancients claimed mead could bestow great wit and strength upon us mortals (it’s 12% alcohol, so maybe). Because it’s fermented with honey, not grain or fruit, our Genesis Mead is more than divine — it’s good. Good for you. Good for cocktails. Good for bees.

GENESIS DRY MEAD

“Genesis is a complex and versatile example of the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage. Enjoy chilled as a clean white wine style beverage. Room temperature or warmed for more full, complex layered flavors. Or used as a base for low ABV cocktails such as Martinis and Manhattans. It’s only limit is your imagination.”—Jonathan Stewart, New York Sommelier

MIDAS SWEET MEAD

“Midas is rich and full-bodied, a more luxurious counterpart to Genesis. This sibling is made with the same clover and wildflower local honey and provides a rich honeyed and snappy finish.”—Jonathan Stewart, New York Sommelier

JOY MULLED SPICE MEAD

“Joy is full-bodied, with a rich full palette of warm mulled spice flavor. It has a full, and weighted finish that lingers on the tongue. It can be served chilled, at room temperature or warmed like a mulled cider.”—Jonathan Stewart, New York Sommelier

HADES (HELLA HOT) PEPPER MEAD

“Hades is a unique and exhilarating treat for the adventurous. The combination of the heat from the pepper blend is balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the honey, creating a dynamic flavor that will excite your taste buds. The taste is not for the faint-hearted, and is a must try.”—Jonathan Stewart, New York Sommelier

MIRTH (LAVENDER LEMON) MEAD

Discover the enchanting taste of Mirth Lavender Lemon Mead, a beverage that redefines the traditional lavender experience. This exquisite mead combines the soothing essence of organic, culinary lavender with a hint of zesty lemon, creating a distinctive flavor profile that is both refreshing and calming.
